Position
Leah commenced as CAWRA’s CEO on 26 August 2024.
She has nearly two decades of experience in the waste and resource recovery industry. During that time, she has established herself as a distinguished leader through her roles in both state and local government. Prior to this role, Leah was the Executive Officer of the Adelaide Hills Region Waste Management Authority (AHRWMA), where she led the Authority through a period of significant transformation. Her leadership was marked by the establishment of robust governance frameworks, the creation and implementation of a visionary strategic plan, and the enhancement of regional waste management facilities and Member Council services.
Leah brings this wealth of experience with her as she transitions to the role of CEO here at CAWRA, along with her proven track record of success in waste and environmental management.
